Last year the Taste of Cayman Charity Wine Dinner debuted and was quite successful. This event helps charity as guests enjoy a delicious fine wine dinner at the Taste of Cayman Food & Wine Festival at Caymana Bay.

For 2012, expect to see an exciting festival. Visitors will find 200,000 square feet filled with delicious restaurants and food and wine themed booths. If you’ve been to this great food & wine festival before then yes, you’ll notice it is now twice its size! Bigger and even better than before.

The 2012 festival expects over 4,000 attendees who will enjoy lots of great entertainment and fun activities. Many of the entertainment and activities offered are new. Attendees will also enjoy a wonderful international wine tasting, the opportunity to sample fine wines from all over the world.

Attendees can relax and socialize in our VIP lounges just for them. Best of all, this festival has been expanded to an entire month-long series of CITA endorsed culinary events in addition to the Taste of Cayman Festival – as January is now Cayman’s official Culinary Month.

Plan ahead so you can easily enjoy all of the festival or the month’s activities. If you travel to the Cayman Islands for this fun event, you simply won’t want to miss a moment. Try some of our foodie tips so you’ll be sure to enjoy as much of this great event as possible:

The festival is large – with 200,000 square feet of restaurants and food and wine booths. That’s a lot of space for any foodie to cover in one day. Try to plan a few days to fully enjoy all of the festival so you can experience everything.

Most times you can discover which booths are located in what areas. If there are certain foods or restaurants you want to be sure to try, this is an ideal opportunity to make sure you won’t miss a thing. Take the time to look at the booth map and see how many restaurants or booths you’d like to visit.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes as you attend the festival. While everyone wants to look their best, you’ll be walking around a lot. Now is not the time to wear strappy high heeled sandals. Choose attractive and comfortable clothing.

Don’t miss the great entertainment and activities. Part of traveling to the Cayman Islands on vacation is seeing everything this lovely place has to offer. Check the schedule to see when entertainment and activities that appeal most to you and your family will appear.
